I Cannot Slay You

My whiskey has run dry
Now that I've let you let me cry
I want to taste your love
Outside of my dark cove the tears drip warm
They fill me with transcendent neutrality
The absence of fear has touched my cheek
This warrior's sword has begun to shine
Now my blade is my reflection
I see now my heart was never mine
This pierce is a touch who connects this river to an ocean
My mind here rests in the calm of emotion
Your omnipotent eyes rain into my soul
And I open to receive your gaze
Upon my vision with you I am whole
I claim no mercy, I claim no vengeance
You hold me as a child of no experience
Your heaven lays resting in infinite grains of phosphrescent shores
I strewn my worries upon your grace
But again I stand to kill you
And you whisper to me in the harmony of salvation
I love you and you may love me
Feel my blood run through you
As I give life more brilliant and crimson then the stains of your pain
You stand before me naked
There is nothing in this moment to shed
For I disolve your armor of shame
And I dress you in this truth
You never fought alone
For when your eyes closed my breath fulfilled you
It is I who gave you the tide of turn
The blanket of water to engulf your flames
I never turned away as the tide pulled you to these shores
I gave you the ocean as your tears when you could not weep
And I poured through you my patience when you exhausted into sleep
This moment is your invitation
I lay down with you in rest
Feel me in your arms as I forever hold you to my breast
